IMPORTANT: Please schedule dental appointments, including dental cleanings, and any vaccination two weeks before or two weeks after your dermal filler treatment. Do not plan to travel from the Denver-Metro area for two weeks following your dermal filler treatment. Do not stop medications that are recommended or prescribed by your health care provider(s) or without first discussing with Dandelion Medical Aesthetics’ Nurse Practitioner or nurse.

Pre-treatment:

In patients that bruise easily, it may be recommended to pre-treat with Arnica, a homeopathic medication that has been proven to minimize inflammation or bruising.  It is advised to limit the consumption of alcohol and medications like aspirin or NSAIDs (like Advil, Aleve, Motrin, ibuprofen).  This will decrease your risk of bruising from the procedure.

About your treatment:

It is recommended you plan to spend 60-90 minutes for your dermal filler treatment.  Topical numbing medication is utilized to minimize your discomfort, but it needs time to work.  Additionally, great care is taken to ensure the best result when addressing your cosmetic concerns.

Estimated down time:

None, you will be able to return to your normal activities immediately following the procedure.  You may experience “social down time” related to potential swelling and/or bruising.

Post-treatment:

Continue Arnica, if necessary.  It is recommended that all patients return to Dandelion Medical Aesthetics 10-14 days following the procedure to evaluate your individual results.

In general, dermal fillers last 6-12 months; Voluma lasts 12-18 months, Vollure lasts up to 18 months.
